Is Home Care Safe During Covid-19?

At Citadel Home Care, the health and safety of our clients is our top priority. In light of COVID-19, it is our goal to provide peace of mind about the measures we are taking to prevent the spread of the virus and protect our patients in these uncertain times.

Our team has implemented a reporting policy to ensure that all caregivers are able to identify risk factors and prevent the spread of the virus between patients. Our office staff has also been trained to identify caregivers who are at risk and will not send them to work.

Caregivers are being provided with additional protective and sanitation supplies for each visit. These include face masks, gloves, sanitizing wipes, and other disposable protective gear.

While providing caregivers with additional supplies, we have also implemented additional hand washing procedures. Each caregiver is required to wash their hands prior to entering a patient’s home as well as once per hour while providing care for the patient.

For patients who would like to reduce the number of caregiver visits to their home, live-in care is an excellent alternative.
Live-in caregivers remain at the patient's home to reduce contact with others and provide all necessary care. Live-in care services provide the benefits of reducing risk for accidents at home, decreased chances of illness or injury, and increased socialization.

Citadel Home Care is here to help you and your loved ones. If you have any questions about our policies, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Here's How It Works

We ensure your client gets the right level of care in their home or community, while you oversee the continuity and quality of care.

Step 1

The service coordinator reaches out to us with a referral and we collect info on the referral's eligibility, history, and needs.

Step 2

We conduct a home assessment and work with the service coordinator to develop a Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP).

Step 3

We submit the care plan for authorization, schedule caregivers, deliver services, and maintain communication.

From here, we continually document the services provided and monitor the client’s progress to ensure their care plan is adapted and their needs are being met.
